Favorite Final Fantasy VII Party!

What is your favorite party to use in FFVII?
This excludes Aeris since she dies halfway.

Mine is:
Cloud
Barret
Yuffie

Cloud ( triple Ap weapon GREAT ultimate weapon)
Cait Sith (Excellent Magic user and good aatack)
Cid (triple Ap weapon Great Flayer think thats it...better than his ultmate?)

Cloud-Tifa-Aeris is a nice party, but Cloud-Tifa-Red XIII was my favorite party during my 2nd game of FF7. On my first game, I used quite a lot of different parties. Cloud-Barret-Yuffie was a good one too.

The last time I played, I used Cloud (duh), Cid and Yuffie. Why? Hell if I know!

The party you use, later in the game doesnt really matter as much as say ff4, because how good your party is depends on your materia you got equipped.

I will say this though, I hate using Tifa during disk 2-3...

I liked to use Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. For some reason. Also, Cloud, Tifa, and Aeris. ALSO, Cloud, Barret, and Yuffie.

I like to use Cloud, Cid and Yuffie.

Cloud - Omnislash + Good All-around
Cid - Highwind Limit (Multi-Hit) + Pretty Good All Around
Rex XIII - Looks Cool.

When playing do you keep the same 3 in your party the whole time or do you rotate people in and out. In my 2 times of going through the game I've rotated everyone in and out. Is there an advantage to keep the same 2+cloud in your party at all times?

i usuallu stick with a ultimate party, then after cloud is in (SPOILER) coma, i level everyone else up before waking him up. i just like it better that way. kinda annoying rotating...

(By the way, for Kuja Trance, Cid's Triple AP weaon is the Scimitar, and the weapon you win on the shooting game is the "Flayer" 100 attack power as opposed to Venus Gospel's 97, but no triple AP)

A very, very long time ago, when I first played the game,(ah... memories...) I used Cait Sith and Red XIII in my party, because I thought the non-human guys would be the funniest. I was wrong. I found Red pretty boring, but I never stopped loving Sithy :choc:

My original party was my favorite (though it's a party I've never used again) which was Cid and Yuffie. It's a shame that any characters you don't use seem to get left out in the story.

Thats true they should make it where you can use them all of the time.

Does anyone use Aeris regularly. This is only to the people who beat it more than once. Do you still use Aeris and after she dies, pick a different character. I know I did the first time through. Can't explain how angry I was after she died. Why Square? Why?

Here's my fav. setup:

Cloud - Mostly offensive power and backup healer: Counter Attack, Comet, Fire-All and 2x-Cut.

Yuffie - Main healer/summoner: Cure3-All, Phoenix, BahamutZERO, Morph.

Tifa - Physical attacks, Enemy Skills: Deathblow, Mega-All, Enemy Skill, Steal (Mug)

Although Cloud looks like a player surrounded by women like that, because before that I always used Aeris and Tifa.

Any party that doesn't have Cloud in it.

Variety is best and I hate having the same character in my party the entire time... especially in this game with only 3 characters at a time. It wasn't as bad with IV and IX as they allowed 4 and 5 characters apiece. But having only three characters and one of them a boring guy in all blue with a sword isn't the most exciting thing ever.

So to answer the question as it was originally asked I go with Cid, RedXII, and Vincent.

I used to go with Cloud, Tifa and Barret, just because they were the original people. The last couple of times I've started to use Cloud, Cid and Yuffie.

I still use Aeris in Disc 1.

Definetly Cloud Vincent and Cid. But, since I use gameshark now...

p.s why does almost everyone use yuffie?

No clue, the second, (and 3rd fourth fifth sixth seventh, and currently 8th) I have not gotten her...I don't like her personally and she is more trouble then what she's worth.

Cait Sith, Cid and Cloud for me. I like the randomness of Cait Sith and the Swearing of Cid...and the game forces me to have cloud but I think I would use him anyways as they mad him way too strong for battle and everything.

cloud: cheap offensive magic (fire, ice, ect) and zero bahamut, typhoon, ect...

tifa: Main physical attacker and healer (revive, cure, ect...) and ktjana (sp?)

vincent: heavy magic attacker (ultima, comet, demi, contain [freeze, breack, tornado, flare]) and knights of the round. oh and load him with mp plus materia.

i like vincent because he's got good attack and magic. and he's sooo cool.

All of their level 4 limit breaks break 9999, plus all three are good offensively, which is good considering the aggressive style of play I prefer.

for some reason, I hated Cait sith and never used him unless I had to. When I got to junon in the second disk cait sith still had all of the equipment he came with.

I'd have to say... Cloud, Yuffie, and Vincent. Yep. What a trio. :rolleyes2

Cloud, Tifa, Aeris then Cloud, Tifa, Cid. Cid comes in pretty late so you don't miss much levelling.

I put people in my party if I want them particularly to fight a boss. I let Vincent and Nanaki fight Hojo, and Barret and Tifa are there when Aeris dies.

Well, at first, I use Cloud, Aeris, and Barret. After disc one, it's Cloud, Barret, and Cid. I always use that setup.

I like to use Cloud, Cid and Vincent

Cloud, Tifa and Red. They work extremely well together. It's like a couple and their dog.

Cloud, Red XIII, and Vincent. Enough said.
