A way to reverse death has been discovered. Such beloved characters as Dumbledore, Cedric Diggory, and Sirius Black have been returned to life! However, certain maligned wizards, including Voldemort, have also been reincarnated. But who is to say who is bad anymore? The world is at peace. Until one night...

That's me, Harry Potter! In this game, I'll be in charge of keeping the game running smoothly, dealing with any problems that may pop up, vote counts, and anything else that may require my attention.

All night actions should be PM'd to me, [M] Harry Potter!

DAY AND NIGHT

The game will be broken up into two phases, day and night. The day phase will usually last no longer than 24 hours, and the night phase no longer than 12 hours. (Neither of these are set in stone. If the day phase ends at 1 in the morning, for example, we'll probably let the night run longer because people are often busy until the evenings.) During the day discussion will be in this thread and it will be closed at night. During night those with night roles will PM [M] Harry Potter with their activity. Once night is up day will come again and talking may resume.

VOTING

You must VOTE! Voting plays an integral role, not only in deciding who to lynch, but also to help tell who the scum are based on voting patterns. If it seems like a player is avoiding voting on purpose, I'll smack them around with my gavel!

Votes and Unvotes should be presented in the following format:

Votes submitted outside of that format will not be counted.

If a majority is reached, the one with majority will be lynched. If it’s a tie then there will be a sudden death. If time for the day ends, the one with the most votes will be lynched.

• Unless specifically mentioned in your Assignment PMs, all Mafia related discussion must happen in the Official game thread. Please do not discuss the game using instant messengers, IRC, Private Messages, voice chats, phone calls, snail mail etc. etc. No, we can't enforce this because we can't spy on you, but we would appreciate it if you followed this simple rule.

• Do not reveal your role privately to each other. You can of course role claim as part of your strategy in this thread. Just don't do it outside the game.

• Play nice. Even if you are using second accounts, don't resort to flaming and whatnot. Kill each other without resorting to being mean.

• Please make all posts in the Game thread under your specific Mafia accounts.

• Play fair. Also known as the "don't be an ass" rule. Being an ass includes cheating, diverging completely from your assigned role, going back and deleting or editing all your posts, using asshole-ish methods to find out information about other people's roles, etc. I reserve the right to replace or modkill as I see fit if you're not playing fairly.

• Do NOT use your Mafia accounts to post in any non-Mafia related threads.

• You CANNOT abstain from voting!

• All of the roles were assigned randomly to a player and then those were randomly assigned to the character.

• Don’t roleplay, it’s annoying. I know it is. Play your character how you want though. There will be no penalty to anyone who does role play.

• Don’t share with others who you are or what your password is or what your role is. This makes it lose its fun-ness. Think for yourselves guys! You don’t need anyone else. (not valid for shared accounts)

I'm guessing LoM and Denmark forgot about another role then. Overeager Vigilante. It is the exact same role as the Jumpy Citizen you described. You can't blame me for thinking you are scum when it is known you killed Ginny and the other kill was on a mafia person.

Also I listed those as the most probable reasons for two kills. If you want some more reasons that Goyle was killed, I can think up plenty

No, Overeager Vig can make more then one kill. I can only make that one kill on Day One. Really kinda a stupid role in my honest opinion, especially because I'd rather make no kill at all.

If I had let the mafia vote, there'd really be no reason for them to pick themselves if they were both on the chopping block.

At least by taking their option to do this away, they're still a chance that whoever I killed would have been mafia. It's just unfortunate that the dead person was town.

I'm a "Jumpy Citizen". On night one I have to (I have no choice in the matter :p) kill one other player. Day One gave me crap to work with so I just decided to see what would've happened if we lynched Ginny instead of Bellatrix.

1) Whoever killed my sister will pay, especially because she is a blabbermouth. So Sirius Black killed her, a prime target for cop investigation or lynching, as he is probably scum because the other kill was a mafia.

2) We have 2 killing factions. So we have three good possibilities. Two mafia (I really hope not) A serial Killer ( Not as bad as two mafia, but still bad) or a vigilante (Best case Scenario)

3) We messed up with lynching Bellatrix, but the mafia godfather is dead. this is a very very good thing.

I'd like to point out flaws in your ideas.

1. As much as I'd love to have a Cop prove my innocence this would draw him out far too early in this game. Don't even get me started on how much that rings scum to me.

2. We don't know that for sure. We could have two killing factions, this would require for a doctor or roleblocker to have made a good choice last night (or some Bulletproof role). We could also have a Nexus, a bus driver, the list goes on. Don't try and make us rule out other possibilities.

3.
Day 2+ mafia errors



Gloating (any form of "complaining" about how bad the previous night was, how the doctor/cop was killed, etc.) Similar to "congratulating the doctor".

I'm guessing LoM and Denmark forgot about another role then. Overeager Vigilante. It is the exact same role as the Jumpy Citizen you described. You can't blame me for thinking you are scum when it is known you killed Ginny and the other kill was on a mafia person.
No, Overeager Vig can make more then one kill. I can only make that one kill on Day One. Really kinda a stupid role in my honest opinion, especially because I'd rather make no kill at all.
I don't blame you, but there is a lot of misinfo in your post that could definitely be a bad influence on lesser experienced players.

As for three, why not be happy, a godfather is a great thing to get rid of this early. cops are the most reliable method of finding out if the alliance of someone (Scum or not scum) and taking out someone who is immune to it is great news for the whole town.
Exactly, so we haven't exactly nailed it down to "three probable". Towns die when they get too closeminded.

Gloating, complaining and all of that is a way for scum to try and fit in with the town.

I agree on the bolded part fully after thinking about the situation Sirius is in. If you all don't agree, then think about this. Cop investigates him only if (s)he feels that Sirius needs investigating. If Sirius comes up guilty, then the cop can announce it, if Sirius is innocent, the cop doesn't announce it. OK?

Let's just axe off Sirius then. Things could get rather unpredictable if he speaks the truth of his role.

I'm not sure what to make of the night. The godfather wasn't bulletproof it seems. And Sirius is either, scum, telling the truth, or really good at making up role claims. I'm leaning more towards the truth for now.
