Mafia IX: Ace Edition Game Over - Mafia Victory - Town of Failure Destroyed

The world has changed. Fed up with the current law process, where entire murder trials had to be finished within a mere three days, the people began to grow anxious. This system was sending too many innocent people to jail for crimes they didn't commit.

With such a high rate of wrongful incarceration, some people have decided to go a step further. If they may end up going to jail for murder anyway, they might as well have a little fun first.

These extremists have begun mercilessly killing innocent people every single night. The 25 most likely suspects have been gathered. It's up to them to figure out who is behind this killing spree and execute them. If they fail, society will never be safe.

YOUR MODERATOR

Ah, the beloved Judge. I'm known for being more than a little bit spacy, but I always hand down the correct verdict. In this game, I'll be in charge of keeping the game running smoothly, dealing with any problems that may pop up, vote counts, and anything else that may require my attention.

All night actions should be PM'd to me, [M] Judge!

DAY AND NIGHT

The game will be broken up into two phases, day and night. The day phase will usually last no longer than 24 hours, and the night phase no longer than 12 hours. (Neither of these are set in stone. If the day phase ends at 1 in the morning, for example, we'll probably let the night run longer because people are often busy until the evenings.) During the day discussion will be in this thread and it will be closed at night. During night those with night roles will PM [M] Judge with their activity. Once night is up day will come again and talking may resume.

VOTING

You must VOTE! Voting plays an integral role, not only in deciding who to lynch, but also to help tell who the scum are based on voting patterns. If it seems like a player is avoiding voting on purpose, I'll smack them around with my gavel!

Votes and Unvotes should be presented in the following format:

##UnVote: [M] Name

Votes submitted outside of that format will not be counted.

If a majority is reached, the one with majority will be lynched. If it’s a tie then there will be a sudden death. If time for the day ends, the one with the most votes will be lynched.

• Unless specifically mentioned in your Assignment PMs, all Mafia related discussion must happen in the Official game thread. Please do not discuss the game using instant messengers, IRC, Private Messages, voice chats, phone calls, snail mail etc. etc. No, we can't enforce this because we can't spy on you, but we would appreciate it if you followed this simple rule.

• Do not reveal your role privately to each other. You can of course role claim as part of your strategy in this thread. Just don't do it outside the game.

• Play nice. Even if you are using second accounts, don't resort to flaming and whatnot. Kill each other without resorting to being mean.

• Please make all posts in the Game thread under your specific Mafia accounts.

• Play fair. Also known as the "don't be an ass" rule. Being an ass includes cheating, diverging completely from your assigned role, going back and deleting or editing all your posts, using asshole-ish methods [M] to find out information about other people's roles, etc.

• Do NOT use your Mafia accounts to post in any non-Mafia related threads.

• You CANNOT abstain from voting!

Regarding roles and accounts:

• All of the roles were assigned randomly to a player and then those were randomly assigned to the character.

• Don’t roleplay, it’s annoying. I know it is. Play your character how you want though. There will be no penalty to anyone who does role play.

• Don’t share with others who you are or what your password is or what your role is. This makes it lose its fun-ness. Think for your selves guys! You don’t need anyone else.

Now, right now our list is too big, but give it time and we'll probably nail it down to a 2-4 list of inactives. This is why I lean toward one. Our main problem with choosing one, is we run the risk of either discovering nothing (because the person doesn't show up to defend themselves, turns up town, and the night kill gives us nothing.).

In this bolded section you don't really explain why you'd want to vote for me, or Furio. You just mention us, which is something I always did as mafia.

Next, in the Italics, if they talk a lot, they aren't usually the town's best option for the first day. Mafian members who talk far too much are often going to get tripped up for something they said earlier and forgot about. I like that first idea! If he turns out a Day Cop, Mia is definitely next on the list. But if he turns out scum, then I guess we should just draw links after looking at what happend at night.

Okay, I'm going to say something that directly conflicts with what I've said earlier, that's because I'm a shared account.

This is the reason why roleclaiming cop or doctor or anything useful for the town is impossible on EoFF. It's just never believed. UR NOT A COP WHY WOULD A COP ROLECLAIM ON DAY 1???? YOU'RE A MAFIA!!!

Let me counter your question, why would a mafia roleclaim cop on day 1? That's also a stupid move. It's a stupid move no matter what your alignment is. So why is it that Hotti simply must be a mafia? I'd say it's more likely that he's telling the truth than not. In a game this size there's a bigger odds for two smaller packs of mafia rather than one big one, so the mafia wouldn't want to sacrifice anything just yet. Nobody knows the set up, though, so that's just speculation.

The only role he could be where roleclaiming on Day 1 would be a smart move would be Saulus. But then again, the doctor could still be able to smurf up his plans. I'm just going to ignore that possibility.

I'm going to believe him and vote for Mia.

True Godot, but there are a couple reasons I can see the Mafia having one of their own roleclaim like that to get someone lynched.

However 1) I don't think it's a very smart stratagy to use, thus I don't think they'd try it right now unless they were under a lot of pressure to do something, and 2) If he is Mafia, I don't really want to explain why he might as then one could alter their words on this situation in order to trick us.

If he is in fact a Mafia, then I believe there is definately some Mafia role that would make this a beneficial stratagy.

However, for now I'll go along with Godot's logic, as his seems more difinative then whats in my head right now.

XD This is my analyzation.

Unless we have a sudden shift, it seems most likely Mia Fey is going, this is to see if Gotti is lying about being the Day Cop or not, is she comes up scum, there is only two realistic option Gotti may have had planned, he's telling the truth or he is using a powerful Mafia role to further himself, most likely the former. So to abstain from possibly wasting an inspection, we can try to use the power of reason to see which placement Gotti is in.

If Mia Fey comes up innocent, Gotti is either ignorant or lying, so there are three options I have in my head, Gotti has no idea how to play the game, he is Mafia (which is most realistic to me) and got caught in a bluff, or there is the outside possibility there is a third or neutral faction. So we should lynch him anyway, for he is either a parasite who just hurt his own faction, in which he should be lynched, scum, in which he should be lynched, or a member of a third faction, in which he could be lynched, depending on his role. So it's really easy to determine what to do with him if he lies.
