Banned Message - Could you fix it?

It still says that stupid [bbuserinfo$$] or whatever on it, could you fix that?

Or even better change it to Neels suggestion from ages past:

I'm guessing the BBuserinfo bug is not easily fixed since it hasn't ever been fixed despite being brought up many times over the years.

Neel's thing is funny, but not really appropriate, I guess.

champ probably has a point, this doesn't look like something you can solve from the admin CP, which is all I know how to use!

It really should be fixable, if only I knew what template/phrases were involved. Do you only get this error when you're banned and try to log in?

You only get that error when your banned and try to view something, it's part of the message that gives your reason for being banned, so people with an EoEO ban recieve the same error :o

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

:confused: I can't replicate it. This is trying to view EoEO while EoEO banned.

Where exactly am I supposed to be looking?

It starts the message with $bbuserinfo[username] instead of the username.

Fixed. It was due to a phrase which had been edited prior to a later vBulletin upgrade and never reverted despite no longer working.

It's been bugging me and since I get banned in all sorts of odd ways around here knowing it's fixed'll keep me quieter :)

I move you put back the bug, mostly to insure Baloki suffers more.

It works the same way when a normal member who tries to view Staff forums finds a thread that leads there. Somewhere in the FAQ with the vBBCode, there's a link to an invalid thread, and a Staff forum thread.
