Baloki 11-11-2007, 11:26 PM It still says that stupid [bbuserinfo$$] or whatever on it, could you fix that?
Or even better change it to Neels suggestion from ages past:
Cannot find server (http://www.loki7.com/banned404.html) Jessweeee♪ 11-11-2007, 11:57 PM OMG :exdee:
Yesh! We should use that! eestlinc 11-12-2007, 12:28 AM I'm guessing the BBuserinfo bug is not easily fixed since it hasn't ever been fixed despite being brought up many times over the years.
Neel's thing is funny, but not really appropriate, I guess. That's just how Neel rolls. Baloki 11-12-2007, 01:04 AM Neither are half the banned messages you guys use, appropriate that is :p Del Murder 11-12-2007, 01:14 AM champ probably has a point, this doesn't look like something you can solve from the admin CP, which is all I know how to use! Loony BoB 11-12-2007, 11:14 AM It really should be fixable, if only I knew what template/phrases were involved. Do you only get this error when you're banned and try to log in? Baloki 11-12-2007, 11:39 AM You only get that error when your banned and try to view something, it's part of the message that gives your reason for being banned, so people with an EoEO ban recieve the same error :o You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
 I can't replicate it. This is trying to view EoEO while EoEO banned.
Where exactly am I supposed to be looking? Baloki 11-12-2007, 12:25 PM Screenshot attached!
It starts the message with $bbuserinfo[username] instead of the username. Loony BoB 11-12-2007, 12:41 PM Fixed. It was due to a phrase which had been edited prior to a later vBulletin upgrade and never reverted despite no longer working. Baloki 11-12-2007, 03:48 PM Loony BoB, I don't say this often but thank you :)
It's been bugging me and since I get banned in all sorts of odd ways around here knowing it's fixed'll keep me quieter :) NeoCracker 11-12-2007, 04:27 PM Wait, why would you fix something like that?
To make people who are banned suffer less?
I move you put back the bug, mostly to insure Baloki suffers more. Tavrobel 11-12-2007, 05:22 PM It works the same way when a normal member who tries to view Staff forums finds a thread that leads there. Somewhere in the FAQ with the vBBCode, there's a link to an invalid thread, and a Staff forum thread.
http://forums.eyesonff.com/misc.php?do=bbcode (Thread Linking)
Maybe you should post to a thread which is valid, AND is humorous/useful for that topic. Baloki 11-12-2007, 05:46 PM Oh dear god that FAQ entry is asking for me to begin abusing the mods custom tags
I'm a good boy Tavrobel 11-12-2007, 05:53 PM Oh dear god that FAQ entry is asking for me to begin abusing the mods cutom tags
I'm a good boy
Ironically enough, the QUOTE section with John Percival + redirect leads to your post, mister Baloki.
EDIT: Your evaile isn't working, either, and Xander's color tag section displays HTML code instead of the color. Baloki 11-12-2007, 06:02 PM Yeah well we can't all be heroes, JUST FOR ONE DAY~
That part of the FAQ could probably do with fixing and re-writing though. Clouded Sky 11-13-2007, 11:36 PM I love you Baloki. |
