Will there ever be a section for Final Fantasy Unlimited in these forums?

talk about it in the Spirits Within forum.Good idea. Perhaps the forum description could be modified to include that? The Spirits Within and Unlimited are both non-game animations that don't directly follow on from another title, so it'd be appropriate for them to be in the same place, I think.

After all, this is 'Eyes on Final Fantasy', not 'Eyes on Various Final Fantasies that Our Current Staff Likes' :p

Yes but there's what are staff likes and what's best left forgotten, and this anime is one of them!

There used to be fairly frequent complaints that the FF music/TSW forum was dead. If FFU gets added into that one, there'll be slightly more posts, and the small-but-dedicated FFU aficionadoes will have somewhere to post.

They can post in VGM/TSW or The Lounge or General Final Fantasy. It's fine in any of those forums as far as I'm concerned.

If the FF music/TSW forum became 'Final Fantasy Film, TV and Music' that'd cover it pretty well. That forum could also be used for discussing the FFV spinoff anime, if anyone wanted to. And they might, if there was a forum specifically intended for that kind of thing.
Better than having a forum title that caters to a single unpopular, poorly-received film, anyway.

Also, would Before Crisis (The Bonus FF VII Anime clip in ADvent Children) be an OAV? I'm not really sure what you would call that.

I think The Spirits Within should just be dumped into General Final Fantasy, or its forum should be renamed to something more general media-ish. All the threads in there are about video game music, anyway. Nobody gives a :skull::skull::skull::skull: about Spirits Within anymore.

I'm not really sure what you would call that.Advent Children fits pretty well as an FFVII sub-forum, especially since FFVII's now basically a multi-story saga by itself, what with all the spinoffs. Last Order (the OAV that came with AC) fits a similar bill.

I still say there are enough FF movies/TV shows/video/what-the-hell-evers to justify giving them a forum that's shared with FF music in general. 'General Final Fantasy' is, at present, apparently reserved for discussions that deal with the game series as a whole, or that straddle several different titles. By giving all the FF tv shows or indirect animated sequels their own particular place, it'd avoid any future confusion about where to stick 'em.

Discuss the music of the series, and any animated Final Fantasies that don't already have their own forum

The concept is good, but the names suck. It's hard to fit in an accurate description that covers such a range of topics. I think all the animations and whatnot could easily just be lumped in with General Final Fantasy, though, but I'm not sure if a "Video game music" forum is worthy of standing on its own.

Also, with Crisis Core coming out soon, we'll have to decide if we want to reorganize how the entire Compilation of Final Fantasy VII is laid out, or if we should just give it a forum and assume Last Order and Before Crisis will just fit in wherever.

Yep, come up with a better name and we'll change it. Until then no dice.

General Final Fantasy 2: Return of the Alternative Media?

Why not Just make a new category called general final fantasy then make three subforums called "Other Games", "Final Fantasy Music" and "Everything Else"?

Heaven forbid we just go with "Gaming-Related Media" for discussing media based on video games.

Nobuo Uematsu, etc.
