I'VE BEEN CUT OFF!

So, PMs have been being very very mean to me recently. Sometimes it'll cut off everything that I said, and cut out the [/quote] tag just before I wrote. At first it was assumed that it was because of the length of the message and the massive quote pyramids, but that's not the case. Not even ten minutes ago, it happened again, with a single quote.

So, what exactly is going on, and is there anything that can be done about it?

Before you click back and forth between respond and read, simply click in the text box, Ctrl+A (select all), Ctrl+C (copy), and Ctrl+V (paste) when you need it. I have found that EoFF really is sucking recently about PM integrity.

weird; I haven't been sending any PMs lately so I haven't run into this issue.

The only thing that happens with quote pyramids topping 90 is that the first quotes will be removed. Hmm.

This happened to me about two years ago. I think I posted a thread in Feedback about it then, too. It was to do with the way vBulletin parsed the quotes that time, but I don't PM enough to have seen it recently, not that I would normally include quotes anyway. :p

It happened recently with me once and it confused me just receiving a quote pyramid...

I honestly have no idea how this could happen. I've got something like 7,000 PMs but I've never experienced this problem.

I actually blame foa for this problem, but Yams'll fix it for us.

I've sent PMs back and forth with Psychotic that had growing quote pyramids and never experienced it.

Like I said though, the most recent time it occured, there was only a single quote.
I guess I'll just have to deal with it then?

Make sure you are typing the tags correctly. Perhaps next time it happens you can take a screen shot or post the text (including markup) in this thread.
