If I had those powers, I, personally, would abuse them to no end. Can open my closed threads? Can change thread titles? It would be madness.
Why would features removed from the site for being abused be allowed to those whom pay to go to this forum? It's just advertisement to get our new forum-lord more money.

PM does not stop one from getting banned - the only thing that stops you from getting banned is owning the site. You pay for the ability to use it appropriately, not the God-given right to use it whenever you please.
Look at it this way: Everyone here is capable of posting porn. That doesn't mean you'll get away with it.
Miriel 10-06-2007, 11:52 PM Recognized members have the ability to open and close their own threads and very few RMs ever abused that power. Just cause you have the ability doesn't mean that you're gonna abuse that ability. I mean, maybe YOU might, but you'd get banned. :p

I don't know what I did, but maybe it has something to do with buying extra private message space before. I've opened my own threads that have been closed before, but never in a bad way. Only in the general it's fun to do this but everyone that can't will think I'm elitist kind of way. I don't know if that was before or after the PM stuff came about.

Many users tend to send multiple private messages a day. Because of the low private message limit, it would make sense to those people to make a one-time payment, so that they don't have to worry about it — personally, I'd never pay for that type of membership unless there was a major benefit to it.
