Random idea to make sure Feedback Forum doesn't go bye-bye again

I keep hearing how there was once this feedback long ago, and it went bye-bye because some users didn't use it right.

Why don't you make it so you can give out Feedback Forum bans just like EoEo bans to make sure it stays running?

Yeah, we do have a feedback ban, we just haven't used it yet. So watch your backs, guys and gals!

Posts have been deleted for being off-topic and contributing to the thread ^_^ If you do not want to receive punishment for not treating feedback correctly, stop making them.

Yeah, that contributing to threads is a bad thing! :screwy:

And my post was so not off-topic. It just happened to be the TRUTH. Ok, I'm done. *wanders off*

EDIT: Actually, I'll make a serious, on-topic response. I think staffers should be concerned with spam in Feedback and try to keep things from getting out of control. However, I think it's equally bad to let things go sometimes and then crack down on everything in the next thread. Like in this thread, for example, I made a joking post blaming BoB for the demise of Feedback, which was something he had in fact pushed for before. It was one post and it was even on-topic in the thread, though it was a joke. However, that sort of things is even allowed in EoEO, so why not here? And there are plenty of threads in here that have the occasional joke response. Keeping things under control is fine, but I think it's better to give a little slack everywhere instead of hammering down and warning everyone for a couple of posts in one thread when you've let 20 joke posts go in another thread. It makes it harder for the members to know what's acceptable and what's not.

If you're not suggesting ideas or commenting on ideas, it's offtopic. Besides, you're notorious and get no slack!

I was commenting on ideas. I was commenting on Goldenboko's comment that it was the members' fault that Feedback disappeared before by correcting him and pointing out that it is actually all BooB's fault. I know, it's unusual for something not to get blamed on Shlup, but as hard as she tries, she can't do everything wrong.

Its not my fault I've been brainwashed my the staff's propaganda. >.<

I was commenting on Raistlin which is the main topic of the feedback forum :( Which we're on the topic of Feedback bans, I'd like to see one on Raistlin!

Making jokes in the thread about too many jokes in the Feedback Forum is not a good idea.

We could do a Feedback ban but that seems so petty. I'd much rather ban the member outright or just take Feedback away from everyone because of a few bad apples again.

I would have to agree with Tony again. Forum bans don't do too much good in the long run.

I think keeping feedback alive is simple enough, without handing out bans. Just don't spam it to death! :jess:

This and the Spirits Within forum is asking for it though tbh, especially Feedback because the staff used to spam here all the time and made us think it was ok, THEN THEY TOOK IT AWAY FROM US
