Why isn't there a forum for musicians?

Music is, by far, one of the most important aspects of Final Fantasy.

If we can post Fanart and other copyrighted crap like that, why can't we post music inspired by FF?

In all reality, how many people would really go there. I can't see it getting more posts then the Chrono Trigger forum, which is a very, very dead place.

If your music is more lyrical post it in the Writer's Corner, if it is more tonical post it in the Artist's Gallery. Fan music will not get it's own forum because there is not demand.

There's a game music forum and a General Final Fantasy forum. Those would both work.

or you could just post it in the art/writing forum like everyone else does.

Almost none of the music in Final Fantasy is lyrical, so no, unfortunately, the writer's corner is inapropriate (plus, I would not have bothered posting this request if there *was* an appropriate place for musicians).

Also, if there is a Chrono Trigger forum, but it gets no more hits than a music forum would be expected to, what is the dilemma? Apparently, demand has no effect on the supply at this website, especially considering that Chrono Trigger is not, in fact, Final Fantasy.

Chrono Trigger is made by square thus it goes on this site. I was saying that CT is the least active forum and IMO a musicians forum would be even less active then it.

Artist's Forum then.

A separate music forum would only be useful if you want to post music that you've composed yourself. And - like everyone else has already said before me - how many people would actually use it?

The Writer's Corner is appropriate if you've done lyrics but no actual music. :)

Gotta agree with boko except for one thing.
Crystal chroncles in the most ignored forum. chrono trigger has actually quite a few posts especially in the past few days. :)

Either that or final fantasy tactics advance. *nods*

I'm offended by the implication by the original poster that musicians are not artists. *hrumph*

Whoa, whoa, when did I say that? I was just saying that since music is so treasured by FF fans, there should be some separation between it, fan art, and poems about Cloud and Sephiroth having sex.

You didn't say it. You implied it.

And for that I'm afraid you must be banned. *bans*

...I just haven't gotten to ban anyone in awhile. ;_;

We have an FF music forum, yes it's mixed with the movie forum but both get soooooo many posts that they don't require their own forum.

First off, the artist forum isn't just full of "Fan Art". Or perhaps this (http://forums.eyesonff.com/artists-forum/108180-oh-no-super-nova.html)looks like fanart to you? As for the second comment there is real good work lots that has nothing to do with FFs in the Writers corner.

A musicians forum would get very few views, posts, etc. And is unneeded because lyrics can be posted in the Writing section and actual played music in the Artist Section.

"This" looks remarkably similar to meteor crashing into Midgar, so yeah, it does look like fan art.

Yes, a picture of a meteor crashing into a barren planet must be Midgar because this is an FF forum!

I thought when one figures out the notes/beat/rhythm/whatever (even with no lyrics) they say they are 'writing music'?
