Lost RP

James Leopold and myself have decided to make a RP of the popular TV show "Lost".

The time period for the RP will be from the very start of the first series...so we've all just been in a rather horiffic and emotionally traumatising plane crash and have woken up on a barren island that isn't filled with naked, exotic dancers.

Of course, it goes without saying that we make our own story and do not follow that of the TV series.

I will post a character list for people to chose from, without trying to be strict, we do not want anybody using their own, original characters.

Please try to be serious and do not randomly find a stockpile of machine guns and hunt the local animals.

What...is this? Sawyer thought as he lay; suspended in an icy rapture...a hazy light lay at the end of a blue tunnel. well goddamn...I'm dead he chuckled to himself, finding his mortality easy to accept...until he breathed in a lungful of salty water what?! Sawyer immediately realised he was deep underwater. Bracing himself, he propelled upwards as the light got closer and closer.
Feeling his head break the surface of the water, he kept his eyes closed as he gulped doses of greatful air and blew the seawater out of his nose...he heard it before he saw it.
It was like Hell...bodies lay strewn amongst twisted metal shapes, giant turbines still spinning; freshly fallen from the sky, people screaming for various family members MOM! DAD! BOONE! the wailing and crying pierced Sawyer, he looked around, a middle-aged woman lay face down in the water only feet from him...he swam over to help and realised that she was dead.
He swam closer to land to find people to help and found a man, larger than himself still gargling through the water in his lungs, Sawyer beat hard on his chest there's no way in Hell I'm giving this guy mouth-to-mouth Sawyer thought, grimacing at the potential scenario but after the seventh or eighth beat on his chest, the man spurted out water and began to breathe normally again.
Sawyer fell to his left, keeling over, panting heavily as he felt himself slip into sweet unconsciousness...his last thought where are we? lost amongst the screams and turmoil....

Can I be hurley.

His was face-down, the sand was bloody from his cut, the smell of fuel and sweat filled the air. He figured it was a dream, but as soon as he awoke and felt the pain in his knee, he knew it was not. He looked up, people screaming, yelling, shouting for help. Sayid knew, the plane, had crashed.

Why would you use the same characters from the show? The point of an RP is to be creative and see where the story goes. By using predefined characters from the show you're limiting the story so much.

You guys are reliving the whole show.

Ah...lovely. I get to revive this dead thread to go on a one-man tyrade about what makes this forum truly and utterly pathetic...which must be said is it's older members who enjoy all their little inside jokes and make newer members feel excluded.

@Hazzard-Did you not read the description? I've quoted myself to point out how blatantly ignorant you are - the fact that a plane crashes on a desert island is the same; granted but once on a random island, the possible scenarios are endless...if you'd kept your near-sighted trap shut, perhaps people would have been more encouraged to join...maybe I did leave it die but that's still no justification for your foolish, ignorant comment

@The Flying Mullet - Yeah, cheers mate. I'm really going to take advice on anything from a 29 year old 'man' who still spends his time on forums.
It was my choice to use the characters from the original show as I thought they were an excellent collection of personalities that complemented eachother well - who are you to infringe on that?

This forum is so up-it's-own-arse...why did you two bother posting if you weren't going to RP? There were four people who were happy to go along with my idea but you decided to come along and open your mouths for no reason whatsoever and put across your self-opinionated bile...actually, I'd like to thank the two of you for being shining examples of one of the things that are wrong with large forums...arseholes like you who go unchecked.

Hey, just read what you just said and maybe you got a point. I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to insult or offend you in any way, and my previous comment wasn't relevant to the RP. I apologize for making you feel upset, Frequency and hopefully you will reconsider leaving this forum just because of my ignorant comments. Sorry mate.

Frequency: If you have a problem with something, use the warn button like everyone else. Leave the mod work to us, don't go off insulting everyone.

We don't ban on request, so your account won't be banned, but you can consider this a warning. Insulting members like that is not cool.
