Valve could use it while putting you in the characters shoes but giving you no control over where you moved. Otherwise if they wanted to use this they'd have to somehow record everything from every angle the player could possibly be at from the sound source as well as distance and mix and match on the fly. I highly doubt that would ever be feasible, so software simulations are still the best way to go for games. |
