Hm, I got to Mysidia too, but I took Leila's ship. The enemies we did run into were a cakewalk, but only because they're physically beat-down-able. The cavern in "what I think is Deist but might not be because my directional sense sucks" kicked my party's ass over and over again because those stupid flans and mousses there are resistant to physical attacks, and my team hasn't trained any magic.
