Maybe they got the idea from the Star Trek movies. Although honestly I can't say FFII was one of the all time greats. Conversely, FFVII had one of the best pull-backs ever.
I found it very enjoyable and epic in scope, especially with the music. I agree it makes more sense if you've played the game before. But I always thought that Squall is somehow experiencing these flash-forwards, so the confusion may be intentional. |
