I was reading the thread that Jon Thompson posted in and was almost tempted to post a reply myself when I read the posts about him "lying".
The way I see it, whether or not he's lying about being drunk has nothing to do with the topic. As Megan said, it doesn't prove that he didn't get drunk or that his girlfriend didn't leave him. Furthermore, just because he made two posts of differing coherence in that space of time doesn't prove that he wasn't drunk, not that it's relevant to the topic. He didn't make those two posts on the same night as he cheated, therefore there's no way anyone here can say that he wasn't drunk or that anything else in the first post didn't occur.
Megan's moderating is bang on what it should have been.
